For Educators

Such Gratitude to you, dear Teachers. You are the ones who have dedicated your lives to shaping the minds and futures of our children. Introducing our kids young minds to the wonder of learning and laying the foundations of knowledge.

Perhaps you’ve landed on this page because:

– you too are alarmed and moved by the increasing mental ill-health and attention and behavioural difficulties you are witnessing in classrooms.

– you know how important the skills of emotional intelligence and regulation, resilience and having control over your nervous system are to students.

– you recognize that these skills are essential for our kids to learn, and this need isn’t being met in schools yet.

You’re in the right place. Our Thriving Kids offers classes for kids and full school programmes involving kids, educators, and parents.

We know, dear Teachers, that you have to have a passion and a drive to choose this career path and we are grateful. We are also saddened by the amount of teachers leaving the profession. The latest figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics suggest 53 per cent of people who hold a teaching degree do not currently work in education. Precise figures varies by locality, but about 40 to 50 per cent of our newest teachers leave within their first five years on the job. Research suggests many long-serving teachers are also retiring early, feeling utterly spent.

Of course, teachers leave the profession for different reasons but we know that similar themes recur as to why: burn out /stress, and feelings of being unsupported, frustrated and disillusioned.

At Our Thriving Kids, we recognise the importance of great teachers and we want to help look after you.
